Pol-0045-1 Determining Eligibility of Activities for Non-WorkFirst Consumers

This policy applies when consumers request child care benefits for non-WorkFirst activities.

  1. The following activities are approved activities for eligibility purposes;
    1. Jury Duty
    2. Paid Work Study
    3. Paid Internships and practicums
    4. Vista volunteers, AmeriCorps, Job Corps and Washington Service Corps if the income is taxed
    5. In-kind Activities if the reported compensation is taxable
    6. Working under the table if the activity meets the definition of employment as described in WAC 110-15-0003
    7. Strikers, if receiving pay while on strike
