Naselle Youth Camp

In 2022, the Legislature directed DCYF to discontinue youth placements at Naselle Youth Camp. While closure is legislatively directed, the decision supports the agency’s priority to place youth closer to home and community and recognizes the declining state trends in youth incarceration. Naselle Youth Camp was closed for residents in mid-September.

We are proud of the work done at Naselle since 1966. Generations of Naselle employees have served young people over decades with compassion, good judgment, and kindness that defines excellence in Juvenile Rehabilitation. Naselle employees rose to challenges daily to build young people up through effective engagement, coaching, counseling, treatment, and re-entry work. We are grateful for all they have given to young people and to the community.
