Regional Administrator for Region 1

Lori Kesl is the Regional Administrator for Juvenile Rehabilitation in Region 1, covering 13 counties on the east side of the state. She began her career in 1983 at Echo Glen Children’s Center and then moved to the Seattle regional office. Lori has worked as a Juvenile Community Counselor in various Coordinator and Program Manager positions. During her tenure as a Program Manager, she took two temporary project and grant positions, the first in 2008 as an Evidence-Based Expansion Program Administrator. From 2009 to 2012, she served as the U.S. Department of Labor Reentry Grant Administrator, partnering with King County to serve nearly 500 youth over a three-year period. Lori became the interim, then permanent Deputy Regional Administrator for Region 4 in 2012 and, in 2016, moved to Spokane as the Regional Administrator for Regions 1 and 2. In 2022, the regions split, and she continues as the RA for Region 1.

Lori and her husband enjoy reading, multiple outdoor activities, and traveling the world. They are extremely proud of the two wonderful adults they have raised. Lori has a bachelor's in psychology and special education from Seattle Pacific University.
