Debbie started her career in public service in 1989 working for Children’s Administration with the Latino population in Skagit County. She was assigned to a generalist caseload and was one of the first staff to become certified as a bilingual employee. In 1995 she moved to Region 6 and has worked or supervised in almost every agency division. She has worked as a Supervisor, Area Administrator, HQ Supervisor and currently as the Deputy Regional Administrator.

Debbie has been a strong advocate for rural offices and communities. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master’s in Adult Education, from Western Washington University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. She and her husband of 43 years, have four adult children, three of whom are in a sibling group adopted from the foster care system, and four grandchildren. Debbie is an avid reader, a life-long equestrian, a mediocre gardener, and a collector of rocks and shells. She enjoys traveling to new places and learning about their culture and history.
