Jenny Heddin began her career in state service as an intern with the Department of Commerce. She worked on budget, policy, and performance measurement for the Housing Division from 2005 to 2009. She then joined the Senate Ways and Means committee.

Jenny joined Children’s Administration in 2013 as the Finance Director. During this time, she was in charge of budget development, contracts, and data.

While at DCYF she has been:

• Chief Financial Officer
• Director of Strategic Initiatives and Collaboration
• Chief of Staff

Jenny is committed to public service. She’s also passionate about the needs of children and families in Washinton state. She follows in her family’s footsteps as a state employee and graduate from The Evergreen State College’s Master’s in Public Administration program. She is a proud mom with one child on the autism spectrum.
