In anticipation of the July 1, 2024, launch of the revised Washington State Indian Child Welfare (ICW) policies and procedures, DCYF will be piloting a newly developed ICW Policy Roll Out training in mid-April. The pilot training will be available to existing ICW units in regions 1, 4, and 5. The training will cover the revised ICW policies and procedures that have been developed in collaboration with Washington State tribes.

Regional ICW Roll-Out trainings will be available to all child welfare staff beginning in May. These in-person trainings will be mandatory for all case carrying child welfare staff.
