The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) will host a webinar from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, to provide updates on the 2024 Washington State Legislative Session. Attendees will hear updates on funding included for DCYF in the proposed House and Senate budgets, Agency Request Legislation, and other proposals affecting the agency.

To prevent the introduction of fentanyl and other substances into juvenile rehabilitation facilities, the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is taking on a multi-pronged approach, including implementing body and bag scanners at entrances, conducting wellness checks for youth, and staff training.

DCYF presents a webinar from 3-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, open to all County Lead Agency (CLA’s) and Direct DCYF-Contracted ESIT Provider Representatives, and related contractors.

DCYF has expanded the Language Access Services Team and team members have been hard at work drafting a Language Access Plan (LAP). The goal of the Plan is to promote equity and inclusion and offer language access services in a consistent manner across all DCYF divisions and offices.
