Family First Legislation and the Proposed Foster Home Licensing Standards

You are invited to attend a Webinar on the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) proposed Foster Home Model Licensing Standards. We are holding two Webinars, covering the same material. Please select only one date below to attend. The purpose of this meeting is to both inform you of the proposed federal licensing standards and to get your feedback on those changes. In Washington we have been very focused on making sure our WACs are written using best practice, and therefore most of our current WACs are already in line with what the federal government is proposing. There are still some differences between Washington’s current WAC 110-148 Child Foster Homes  and the proposed federal licensing standards and that is what we will be discussing. The comments received from this Webinar will be summarized and provided to the federal government as they are currently accepting comment on these proposed rules. Feedback or comment from the webinar participants will be accepted until September 13, 2018 at 5pm. Please send your comments to dcyf.familyfirstact@dcyf.wa.gov with “FFPSA comment” in the subject line of the email.
