Summer Skills Workshop for Teens

The Center for Independence in collaboration with Disability Empowerment Center and Central Washington Disability Services is hosting a free Youth Transition Summer Workshop at the University of Washington. 

Participants will develop self-advocacy and leadership skills, plan career goals, build a network of friends and supports and have a college experience on campus.

To be eligible, participants must:

  • Be between 16 and 24 years old.
  • Live in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan, Island, King, Pierce, Thurston, Yakima, Kittitas, Douglas, Chelan or Grant Counties.
  • Have a disability and personal goals for education, work or independent living.
