Training & Support

Prior to Taking Training

  1. Be sure you have a STARS ID. Need a STARS ID? Get one when you register in MERIT.
    Get a STARS ID
  2. Be sure you have your employment records current in MERIT - including roles.
  3. Be sure you add an end date to any employment you are no longer with.

Training Options

The following are available to complete the Electronic Attendance System training:

Go to online training

  • Licensed providers: You likely have a DCYF Training account. If you have ever completed the required safe sleep training, this is where you accessed it.
  • Create an account:

    • Visit MERIT if you need help with the following:
      • Creating a DCYF Training Account
      • How to change your job role or program type in the DCYF training site
      • How to troubleshoot login issues
      • How to record completed training
Sessions with a live instructor, may be offered in a virtual or in-person classroom environment.

Request a Workbook
To request a workbook, fill out the Workbook Request form.
