Functional Family Therapy (FFT)

Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is a family counseling program focused on helping young people with behavioral or emotional problems. FFT has about 12 to 14 sessions over three to five months. FFT is for young people ages 11 to 18. Services are conducted both in clinic and at home.

The FFT model works to address and deal with factors in and out of the home that can impact a young person's development.

FFT consists of five parts: engagement, motivation, relational assessment, behavior change, and generalization. Each of these parts have its own goals, focus, and skills.
